Scyscraping Hong Kong

Hong Kong nicely surprised and after almost a year we found that the world is still working, the subway is still running, people still know English, you can sit on the toilet seat and you do not have to always bargain for water..

Hong Kong isn’t just skyscrapers. The city offers a lot. The longest escalators in the world, sandy beaches, hiking in the hills and deserted islands.
🏙️
Umbrellas. When it’s sunny – against the sun, when it rains – against the rain, when you walk around a building – against the leaking AC. It is a mystery, considering the number of people, small space and the dangers of an umbrella, that half the population isn’t blind.
🏙️
Internet. It’s an expensive thing.
🏙️
We tried to live on 4 square meters. Toilet is basically next to your head and a fridge at your feet. Claustrophobic dreams arrived.
🏙️
Space problems have been elegantly solved in public transport. And the city sightseeing from double decker buses and trams is splendid!
🏙️
You will never have to look for a taxi. It is red and has a white roof.
🏙️
There are more Teslas than in Oslo.
🏙️
The bamboo is so underestimated. A bamboo scaffold extending to the tenth floor or hanging from a window high above the ground is a very common thing here.
🏙️
Although the metropolis is mostly modern, there are places where rats feed on human feces. #beenthereseenthat
🏙️
Dim sum. Just variously spiced meat in variously shaped dumplings, and variously prepared. What else to say? It’s just OK. And we tried it in Michelin-recommended restaurants as well.
