Thailand is probably the first country that looks exactly the way we imagined it. We were not surprised by what we experienced here, but we can not say that we haven´t enjoyed two months in this tropical paradise.

Everything is working. It is relatively clean, the trees are planted in neat rows, there are mobile toilets in Bangkok, and MONKEYS ride on motorbikes ON LEASH.

Beaches are of two types. Either with people or without people. Are you going to Thailand? Go WITHOUT a travel agency and WITHOUT Lonely Planet, you will enjoy it much more.

Prices also vary by location. While in most touristic areas you might pay 6 dollars for typical meal PHAD THAI, in small town markets it´s available for one.

Although the Thais cook very well, they need a little help with maths. It is no exception to see this kind of menu at the kiosks: 1 chicken = 15 bahts, 2 chickens = 30 bahts, 3 chickens = 45 bahts, 4 chickens = 60 bahts, 5 chickens = 75 bahts. It is tempting to order 6 chicken legs, isn´t it? 😉

MARKETS. The best and the most amazing thing about Thailand. Food stalls with mouth watering meals and everything is so cheap!

Thailand is a PLASTIC COUNTRY. The food on the market is wrapped in a plastic box, put in a plastic bag and served with a plastic spoon. Europe and the US have no chance to stop this wave of waste. You feel desperate just watching it.

GOLD WHEREVER YOU LOOK. Golden Buddha statue, Golden temple, Golden pagoda, Golden cat.

Thais are NOCTURNAL ANIMALS. They are active only after dark.

We don´t sleep under blankets, but towels and sheets. You’d better check what you’re using after the shower to fit your legs underneath the remaining towel.

CULT of the KING. His photo is everywhere, in every single house, by the roads, on all banknotes. And don´t you dare to step on the rolling coin with the king’s face!
